We had a really nice week last week, because our niece of 15 years old was visiting. In this week we did everything such as going to the Lemon Tree Market in Guardamar, La Zenia shopping center (always nice when the ladies can shop haha), enough terraces and a day at the beach. We also went to the water park Aquopolis in Torrevieja! This is a water park for the whole family with slides, swimming pools, picnic areas and large sunbathing areas. It is not a very large park, but for a day out this is a very nice water park. You should not be so afraid of heights.... Some slides are quite high. Just ask Frank with his fear of heights ;-). If you hear a loud horn, it means that the water wave pool will start in a few minutes. Really super fun! We had a good time in the park. The water park is not far from our apartments. From Pilar de la Horadada it is about 25 minutes and from El Raso it is 15 minutes away by car.

         

The park is for all ages and this is due to the various slides and swimming pools. There are minimum lengths associated with the slides. If you are at least 1.40 meters tall then you are good, because then you can go anywhere. When purchasing the tickets, this is also indicated and you can get a cheaper ticket if you have not yet reached this length. Children up to 1 meter tall can enter the park for free.

Despite the fact that the park is not that big, the prices of the park are on the high side. It is therefore better to look online for tickets than to buy them at the box office. Online there is often quite a lot of price difference. Renting a safe is already 8 euros and a sunbed 5 euros. Extra money is requested for everything in the park and this is something to take into account.  You can also rent private places and this is of course nice when it is really busy in the park. Furthermore, you can eat well and price / quality is fine. We can recommend a menu with cheese / bacon sandwich. This one was very tasty and big. So big that not everyone could handle it.
