We are Frank and Annemiek de Graaf and we live in Spain with our 4 dachshund children.
Our holidays consisted of traveling by camper and te occasional hotel. During our holidays we were regularly in Spain. This is where the idea arose to buy a apartment in the future to travel te Spain more often and, if retirement would come closer, to perhaps move to Spain permanently. Every time we were in Spain, we enjoyed the peace and quiet, friendly people who have time for you and always enjoy the Spanish lifestyle with a good glass of wine. When we were back in the Netherlands, it was always racing, busy and not the peace that we would like te have.
Until one evening, way before our retirement, Frank came home and told us to talk. Yes, you'll just bring it this way. Fortunately, the reason why he wanted to talk soon followed and indicated that he already wanted to live permanently in Spain. This was a bit of a shock with the family in mind. In the end, the decision was made quickly. Within 24 ours we agreed te leave. After that it went very fast. Six months later we lived in Spain, where we bought two apartments. A dream come true. Spain has become a real home and we enjoy every day.
